Shooting Sports Days

For your convenience, these events are for newly-joining and currently-enrolled Scouts, in different locations throughout the council. There's an added focus for every new Scout to have an opportunity to do what we know they would like to do the most, shoot BBs and Bows. This is a quick, well-organized event that is facilitated by a trained range safety officer.

Cub and Family

Held at Camp Mack Morris Scout Reservation, this is an organized daytime or overnight campaign activity with shooting ranges, crafts, games, and projects. Any event at Camp Mack Morris is an excellent opportunity to make new friends, spend time with family, and share in the fun and fellowship! Be sure to sign up early; this activity fills up fast.

Scouting for Food

As Scouts, we know how fortunate we are to have a warm meal every night - whether around the campfire or at the kitchen table. And we know that not everyone is so lucky. That’s the genesis of Scouting for Food, the annual food-collection drive run by the West Tennessee Area Council on the first week of February each year.

Scouting for Food takes place on two consecutive weekends. On the first weekend, Scouts distribute bags and/or door hangers to inform their neighbors about the drive. On the second, Scouts revisit those houses to pick up bags full of canned food, cereal, pasta, peanut butter, juice, and other nonperishable items.

Memorial Day Flag Placement

The West Tennessee Area Council, Boy Scouts of America invites you to attend the Annual Memorial Day Flag Placement at the Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery in Parkers Crossroad. This is just one of many ways the Scouts can show their patriotism and citizenship for our Country's Veterans.

Veteran's Day Parade

Every year in November, hundreds of Scouts from the West Tennessee Area Council march in parades throughout the Council to honor our brave men and women who sacrifice their lives for their Country.
