Become a Giving Tuesday Champion: Empower Our Scouts!

Uniting for a Cause: Your Role as a Giving Tuesday Champion

As dedicated volunteers of the West Tennessee Area Council, Boy Scouts of America, you are the backbone of our Scouting community. With Giving Tuesday approaching, we have a unique opportunity to showcase the spirit of Scouting – unity, generosity, and leadership. We invite you to become a Giving Tuesday Champion, a role that harnesses your passion and commitment to make a tangible difference in the lives of our Scouts.

How Can You Become a Champion?

Becoming a Giving Tuesday Champion is simple and impactful. It involves reaching out to your network to raise awareness and support for our Council. Here’s how you can get started:

  1. Use the Provided Templates: We've crafted several email templates tailored for different audiences. These templates are designed to make your outreach efforts seamless and effective. (The templates are at the bottom of this blog.)

  2. Personalize Your Message: While templates provide a solid foundation, adding a personal touch can significantly enhance your message's impact. Share your Scouting experiences, stories, or why this cause matters to you.

  3. Choose Your Audience: Whether it's friends, family, colleagues, or your broader social network, identify who you want to reach out to and select the template that best suits that audience.

  4. Spread the Word: Leverage social media, email, or even personal conversations to share your message. The more people you reach, the greater our collective impact.

  5. Follow-Up: Don’t hesitate to follow up with your contacts a few days after your initial message. A gentle reminder can go a long way in garnering support.

Your Impact as a Champion

By stepping up as a Giving Tuesday Champion, you're not just raising funds; you're strengthening our Scouting community. You're ensuring that more young people have access to the life-changing experiences that Scouting offers. Your efforts today will help mold the leaders of tomorrow.

Ready to Start?

To begin, choose a template from the ones provided and tailor it to your audience. Remember, every message you send, every story you share, and every donation you inspire, brings us closer to our goal of empowering young lives through Scouting.

Thank you for being a part of this journey and for choosing to be a Giving Tuesday Champion. Together, let's make this a remarkable day for the West Tennessee Area Council and the many Scouts who depend on us.
